Human Rights Documentation Initiative

The UT Libraries’ Human Rights Documentation Initiative (HRDI) is committed to the long-term preservation of fragile and vulnerable records of human rights struggles worldwide, the promotion and secure usage of human rights archival materials, and the advancement of human rights research and advocacy around the world. The HRDI partners with human rights organizations in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the US that are creating and collecting valuable audiovisual documentation related to a myriad of human rights issues, including armed conflict, human trafficking, genocide, capital punishment, and gender based violence. Many collections can be accessed through the HRDI website at www.lib.utexas.edu/hrdi.
